- It has been suggest that Barlow's 'De studio theologia' is not dissimilar from the version that was published in his 'Genuine Remains' in 1693. At the rear of the volume is the beginning of an abortive copy, on a singe page, of a later version of the same work, possibly that printed in 1699. The referece to Richard Cumberland's 'De legibus naturae' dates this second copy to after 1672.
