| Item Description: | Hardbound notebook containing manuscript catalogue of books missing in Marsh's Library, 1828-1916. The main list is an inventory of books missing in 1828. It includes shelf marks, titles, place and year of publication, and also indicates if the books were first recorded missing in in the 1767 or 1828 stock checks. This is followed by an 1840 missing list, and an inventory of books that were in Thoms stationers for rebinding during the 1916 Easter Rising and thus destroyed. Annotated in a later hand (in red) to indicate items that were replaced or found, or to give the shelf mark of other copies in the Library. Details books from all collections and gives the totals for the missing books in each collection. Previous shelfmark 'R7' |
