| Binding Note: | Binding: Bonet binding in pink oasis, with a gold-tooled swirling design emanating from a central sunburst, the whole flecked with occasional tiny inlaid grey trumpet leaves. Both covers identical and linked across the spine, which is lettered in gold, dappled grey endleaves, edges in grey calf. Signed by Bonet on the front pastedown, dated 1944 on the back. Grey silk headbands and gilt edges. The original card cover is bound in. Protective cover in half pink oasis, faded to copper, with silver and gold dappled grey sides. Lettering on spine as on binding. Slipcase of the same dappled paper, piped with pink oasis, also faded. Very slight damage causing ripples to appear in pastedowns and leaves to cockle, otherwise a superb copy. |
