| Binding Note: | Binding: blank straight grained morocco probably by George Mullen, gold and blind tooled to a panel design, with large 'rose window' design in the centre, and corner tools.  Four silver corner-pieces.  Spine gold-tooled to five compartments, with the title tooled in the second.  Brown endleaves and gilt edges. The leather is somewhat faded; slight damage to the lower cover.  Compare plate XVI in Ramsden, 'Bookbinders .... outside London'. |
