Jessica's autograph album is filled with watercolours, poetry, short notes and sketches.

This sketch depicts soldiers in a trench, who speculate with black humour that their ranks might be increased if the mud were combed for ‘more men’.

It is a copy of ‘The Recruitment Problem Solved’ by Bruce Bairnsfather, who was a well-known cartoonist of life in the trenches.
