T.C.D. [Miscellany], Special Trinity Number, June 1916

19-TCD MISC INSIDE 1A.jpg

Richard William FitzPatrick served as an Assistant Librarian at Marsh’s Library for one year, but resigned shortly after the Easter Rising to join the British army.

As a student at Trinity College, he had been a member of the Officer Training Corps, and helped to defend the campus against the rebels during the Easter Rising.

We display a special edition of a TCD student magazine produced in the aftermath of the Easter Rising. It contains an advertisement for everything a young man in the Officer Training Corps might require.
