Item Description:Title page printed in red & black. Red running title, initials, para-signs and section titles. Floriate initials (black or red) and one historiated (fol. 528). 2 full page engravings fol. 525v-526 and a three-quarter page engraving on fol. 1v.
Printed marginalia (manicules and braces).
'P[at]r[i]s Joha[n]e Boyum Ca[to] Regalis et collegiate eccl[esi]e Ioh[anne] Lau Emptus [anno salutatis] 1578' on t.p. Latin annotations on front pastedown, 1st flyleaf and endleaf, all in the same hand but in different inks, related to specific passages of the text.
Several types of ink markings in the margins. Manicules and underlined passages. A few annotations in several hands (keywords, comments, references to other passages). Trimmed margins proof on fol. 140v.

Binding Note:Blind tooled vellum binding. Two concentric frames made of three fillets with small inked ornaments at the corners of the inner one and a center piece made of two tools back to back also inked in black. Gold title piece on the back, in the second compartment : 'Gratiani decretum' in ink. Yellowish colored edges.
