Copy 1: Notes by Bouhéreau and modern notes on edition of volume written on front endleaves. Proof of cutting b4. Small number of passages marked with pencil. Annotation in part 3 beginning: 'Cosi ho trovato scritto in un' antica editione ...' No other annotations.
Copy 2: Scribbled out and illegible inscription on back pastedown and 'Y[4]'. No annotations.
Copy 3: Some pencil and crayon marks on front endleaf. Excerpt in French from Rousseau's 'Contract Social. Chap: 6:' on front endleaf. 'G10' written on title page. Some annotations in a later hand in pencil including passages marked with crosses and manicules.
