Item Description: | Volumes 1 and 2 rebacked by John F. Newman & Sons 1980 (Heritage Trust Fund). Volume 1: inserted at the front is a note in Former Keeper Muriel McCarthy's hand and two photographs. The note states; 'These photographs were presented to Marsh's Library by Prof. Minakawa 4th September 1968. They were taken at a commemoration festival in Japan for Mr Adams, who was on [sic] of the first Englishmen to arrive in Japan. Mr Adams' diary was used extensively when Purchas Pilgrimes was being written' |
