The first, dated 26th July 1948, Miss Evans enquires about the library's interest in receiving the scrap book which the writer considers may be of particular interest based on a poem on the inside back board by Dean Swift. [The poem is 'A receipt for stewing veal for the use of Dean Swift', by Alexander Pope, copied in 19th c. hand]. The second, dated 2nd August 1948, acknowledges the Library's acceptance of the scrap book. |
