Brown calf over wooden boards tooled in blind with lines and an acorn panel on the upper cover (AC 8 Oldham) and a quadruple panel signed SG showing the saints John the Evangelist, Barbara, Catherine and Nicholas on the lower cover (QUAD 7 Oldham). Initials 'SG' look defaced and so this is possibly its second state. Rebacked. Newer endleaves. QUAD 7 and AC 8 are also evident in 1511 Parabola filii glutonis profusi atque ... Joannem Meder and Historia ecclesiastica tripartita [about 1494-95]. |
