Other numbers written in ink on the pages have been crossed out. Manuscript note on the top of the first page is crossed out. Annotated in ink in the margins : "adress. pr l'Imprimeur. Il faut mettre des lettres Romanes aux dits crochets à côté, tout ce qui est imprimé en même lettres, et mettre en [...] Italiques ce qui est Imprimé en lettres Italiques." Summary of the introductory text : The crown received numerous complaints about maxims written in Languedoc. Two commissioners were therefore sent to the province, a Catholic and a Protestant, to enforce the pacifying principles of the Edicts of Nantes and Alès. Order given in Paris on April 15, 1661 by "Louis". Possibly the same edition that can be found at the BnF. |
