Item Description: | Previous shelf mark and coat of arms drawn on front pastedown. Notes on volume and coat of arms on front flyleaf. Epistle 'To the right honorable and his singular good lorde, Sir William Cecil'. Includes 'The names of the authors aswell Latines as others, out of whiche these workes are chiefelye collected and amplified'. Colophon: 'Imprynted at London in Fletestrete within Temple barre at the signe of the Hande and starre, by Richard Tottyl. Anno 1572. Cum prouilegio'. Several coats of arms coloured in according to the letter guides. Printed marginalia. Some annotations in ink and pencil with some passages marked in pencil with coats of arms drawn in ink in the margins. Manuscript notes at back: 'The order for the funeralls of Barons knightes & esgniers' and 'The notes and dyfferences yn armes appropryated vnto basterdes' followed by several blank leaves. Written on back pastedown: 'John Druell Archdeacon & canon of Exceter died 8o Junij 1453' along with (faded) 'Williams'. |
