Binding Note:Binding: elaborately gold-tooled green morocco, finely executed with a large spray of lily of the valley stamped in the centre. The spine has five bands and six compartments with the title tooled in the second the other five are densely gold-tooled with shamrock spray as centre motif. Cream watered silk doublures and endleaves with ornamental half-title stamped in gold on endleaves, presentation inscription decorativley tooled on a large green morocco onlay on upper doublure. Presented to Dr. Alexander Patton by Edward and Sara Cavenagh, 1853.
