| Binding Note: | Binding: contemporary gold-tooled Dublin vellum. Narrow roll and fillet border, with inner flower and leaf roll. This roll is used on another copy in the library (from the J.R. Abbey collection) It is also illustrated in Craig, Plate 51. The spine has five bands and six compartments, with the title on a red lettering-piece in the second. The other compartments except the third are quartered diagonally, with the opposite quarters matching. The third is tooled differently and it is brighter. It possibly had a label originally. Marbled endleaves and gilt edges. The upper joint is weak and partially split. |
