Number 111 of 120 copies. Paper watermarked 'Les Cent Bibliophiles'. From the library of J.R. Abbey, with his circular armorial bookplate gold-tooled on red leather Binding: Bonet binding in black oasis. All-over gold-tooled design on both covers and crossing spine. A diamond scroll motif placed vertically and horizontally in alternating rows. One compartment left free for lettering on the spine. Scarlet calf doublures and endleaves, tooled all over using two motifs, one in gold the other in silver. Signed on the front doublure and dated on the back. Red silk headbands. Gilt edges. Original card cover bound in. There is some damp-stains on preliminary and end blanks which were inserted at the time of bindng. Protective cover in half black oasis and dappled aubergine sides. The spine is identical to the binding. Matching dappled slipcase, the edges piped with black oasis. Abbey sale, lot 2624. K4 AR191
