Binding Note:Bound in 1990 by Deborah Evetts, Designer, bookbinder and Director of Conservation in the Pierpont Morgan Library, New York. Taupe niger onlaid with large green hop vine leaves, smaller branches stamped in gold. Also stamped in gold are some symbols adapted from the reproductions: the 'Guinness Seal', the yacht 'Leander' and some motifs associated with brewing. The doublures and endpapers are onlaid with large green leaves on marbled paper, gilt edges. Preserved in green buckram box. Exhibited at the Designer Bookbinders Exhibition at Marsh's Library, April 19
