Binding Note: | Binding: Dublin red morocco with narrow gold-tooled border and narrow floral tool in the corners and Trinity College arms on both covers. The spine has five gold-tooled bands and six compartments, gold-tooled to a centre and corner design; the second and fifth are stained black, title and volume number lettered in the second. Reproduced in McDonnell and Healy, plate LXVIII and attributed to 'The Spectator Binder'. |

Corner torn from title of volume II, blue stains at beginning and on pages 174-175 in volume III, worming in some volumes, otherwise a fine set. Presentation inscription on each volume: 'Ma Heyland: the gift of the Rev.d Richard Wolsley'. Trinity College prize set, with engraved presentation label in each volume, for Thomas St. George in 1755. 635 numbers running from March 1, 1711 to December 20, 1714.
