Binding Note:Binding: Trinity College binding in natural tan morocco, with gold-stamped crest, double gold fillet border. The spine has four gold-tooled bands and five gold-tooled compartments, with black lettering-piece in the second. The main tool used on the spine is identical with the Irish Dove binder's tool 6, as identified by McDonnell and Healy. Comb marbled endleaves and gilt edges. Presentation slip dated 1743 and signed for Robert Synge. Joints cracked but covers firmly attached.
