Contemporary Irish (or imitation Irish?) gold-tooled red mortocco, with inlaid paper rose outlined by overlapping double gouges, unusual small centre with a face and emanating rays. Scalloped border, also onlaid in paper and outlined by gouges. Flat spine tooled to six compartments, with green lettering-piece in the second. Comb-marbled endleaves. Preserved in a green morocco box. |
