Similar all-over design within each half cover; birds, leaves, flowers and other small tools flow pointille curved lines which radiate from a vase at the top (and bottom) border roll. Flat spine tooled to six compartments, with a red lettering-piece in the second. Comb-marbled endleaves and gilt edges, Upper joint cracked, slight damage to both covers. Another copy; compare the two bindings which are similar in style but show a variation in tools. |
