Binding Note: | Binding: Dublin red morocco, gold-tooled to an elaborate design, rebacked. A lozenge design, outlines by concave gouges, extends the length of the cover. The tools include branches, leaves flowers, circles and vases. The large rose spray and cornucopiae are identifies by Craig as tools used by Parliamentary Binder B and by others later. An adaptation of the desing fills the corners. The spine has five bands and six compartments with identical tooling. Gilt edges and marbled endleaves. Preserved in a red cloth box. |
