The spine has five bands and six gold-tooled, with a pale green lettering-piece in the second, date on tan label at the tail. Comb marbled endleaves and gilt edges. Illustrated in McDonnell and Healy, plate XIX and identified as the work of Joseph Leathley's binder; individual tools are identified. According to this source it is one of twenty 'red leather' copies supplied to Trinity College by Leathley. The first book issued by Dublin University Press and dedicated by the Provost and Fellows of Trinity to Bishop Sterne who had established the press.
