| Binding Note: | Binding: Dublin red morocco, elaborately gold-tooled to a panel design. Large inlaid black centre-piece, with oval lozenge in cream leather opened to show large black vesicae. Border rolls, corner fan of flame tools. Flowers, leaf branches and a lyre are among the small tools used. The spine has six double bands and seven gold-tooled compartments, with a black lettering-piece in the second, large flame tools are used horizontally. Comb-marbled endleaves and gilt-edges. Rebacked with original spine-strip laid down; some ink stains on covers. Preserved in a cloth box. |
