Summary of the text: This newspaper article reports the decision taken by the King of England (Charles II) to welcome all French Protestants forced to leave their country because of their religion. He declares that they will not have to pay anything to come, that they will be naturalized and that they will be able to practice their professions without being worried. This is followed by an oath to the king that every person holding public functions must make. The following text is a letter addressed to the king from the royal agents of the County of Northumberland where they ask the king's forgiveness for wanting to overthrow the government and killing his father, but now they are ready to have a new parliament and obey the king. And finally some international news such as: King Louis XIV will probably travel to Italy or Germany, and French Protestants from La Rochelle have arrived in Plymouth.
